Passion is fuel. It is not a plan. Plenty of passionate people lose everything because passion told them to hold when position told them to fold.
Feelings are the enemy at the edges
At the top, feeling tells you to get greedy. At the bottom, feeling tells you to panic. Both are wrong, and both are expensive. Position ignores the feeling and follows the rule.
This is the entire case for taking emotion out of execution. Not because emotion is bad, but because it is a terrible trader.
The market does not care how you feel. Only where you stand.
